Kate Gosselin, the star of Kate Plus Eight, emerged from New York city's Fifth Avenue Aldo store carrying $325 worth of trendy shoes. Gosselin purchased three pairs of new shoes, which were all in neutral shades. Her choices included a pair of classy lace pumps and some tall and trendy wedges that could easily add a touch of glamor to any outfit.

Along with the new shoes, Kate also did some other pre-birthday shopping in New York. She left the kids at home to celebrate her 36th birthday at STK, wearing a simple ruched black dress, crystal earrings, sling-back patent peep-toe pumps and a snakeskin wristlet. Some have criticized Kate for leaving her kids at home with a babysitter on the weekend instead of with ex-husband Jon, who says that he wants to spend more time with the kids.
